MTV #VMAs | Homage to Taylor Swift's Music Video 'Bad Blood'

You guys know that i’m a big fan of collaborations with different people who love to try out new things or let’s say don’t take themselves too seriously - and that’s why we (talking about Stylekingdom, Lesfactoryfemmes & Modewurst) thought that i might be a fun idea to create our own Bad Blood (Blogger?!) Sin-City inspired posters which we all know from the music video by Taylor Swift. I have to say that when i first heard  Bad Blood“ i thought that it would be another random ear worm until Taylor Swift started promoting the video on her instagram like there was no tomorrow  - and i guess we all know what i’m talking about.

Bad Blood became such a huge success all over the world but with the series of Sin-City inspired posters which featured a ton of her BFFs it became kind of a cutlural phenomen which is by the way also nominated for nine moonmen at this years  MTV Video Music Awards (#VMAs).

Key Pieces to Transition Your Wardrobe from Summer to Fall | Edition: Basic Dress

Summer, it’s still here but i have to say that i’m definitely ready for the season finale. August has been an amazing month full of exciting projects, night shifts and super cool collaborations but when my favorite month of the year (September) is knocking on the door i’m beyond exciting to start some new adventures – and let me tell you there will be a few incredible projects coming up which i reveal as soon as i’m able too.

September is also the month of finding the perfect pieces to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall. It’s that time of year where half of us are still wearing crop tops and sandals, and the other half are wearing leather jackets and scarfs. It’s a month full of fashion-confusion. The key is defintely layering and that’s why a lot of us fashion lovers should prefer fall – you get so much more creative and wild with you appearance. I often start with a basic piece like with loose fitted pants or with a basic dress like this one i’m wearing on the pictures. Throw over a statement piece like this vest, add a scarf, nice sneakers or boots and you’re good to go.

But as you guys know i always love to add a certain twist to any of my outfits and so I’ve decided that it was about time to rock my new patterned GAP espadrilles which seems to be the perfect option for this black and white combo.

Urban Decay | Favorites

So over the last few weeks i’ve been experimenting with a few Urban Decay-Products that left me speechless right from the beginning. I had absolutely no expectations but after using them on a everyday basis i can officially say that i have some new favorites in my make-up collection.

As i already mentioned in my last Urban Decay-Post i’m all about the design – it’s also a huge selling point and i always appreciate an unique and beautiful packaging. So let’s start with the eyeshadows which by the way can be popped out of their cases and popped into Urban Decay palettes which makes life a little bit more easier when you are not that kind of person who wants to carry around single eyeshadow pots.

#New Discoveries | Fuji X-Pro1

When i first started this blog i already had a huge interest in photography and i guess most people of my age started with an analog camera before the hype of the digital madness began. More and more new cameras were being launched onto the market – it simply became a household object but when i first received the Canon EOS 300 D i was super excited to be finally a proud owner of a DSLR - and guess what i had absolutely no clue what i was doing back then. But times have changed.

To this day, i’m still a big fan of Canon cameras (my recent pictures were taken with the Canon 5 D Mark III, 50mm 1.2 favorite lens ever) but every now and then it’s nice to switch things up and see how other cameras perform – like the Fuji X-Pro1 wich is a compact system camera featuring a retro design. (Lens: 35mm F1.4). Obviously i wasn’t the one behind the camera but with the support of my main man Patrick Domingo who captured these shots while we were strolling around the city, i always have the chance to gain a better insight into the world of photography and show you different pictures every now and then. I have to say that even before i started editing these pictures in Photoshop i was already impressed by the image quality similar to what you get from a DSLR. Now let me know what you think - do you see any difference compared to my previous pictures?

Vienna's Fashion Scene | Interview with Mark Baigent presented by Gillette Venus + GIVEAWAY

Vienna has a lot to offer, amazing architecture, long-lasting tradition, the way of living but also an interesting fashion scene. That’s why Gillette Venus made it its mission to support local designers and give them the chance to be part of the MQ Vienna Fashion Week.15 in order to present their current collection on the runway.

In collaboration with Gillette Venus i had the pleasure to meet Mark Baigent, one of the chosen designers who’s not only known for creating avantgarde „gender free“ fashion which includes a lot of uni sex cuts, black fabrics, geometric cuts and minimalistic shapes but also for his dedication to ethical practices throughout the production process.

He’s currently sharing his workspace with other creative individuals at the Schneiderhof which is obviously the perfect place to develop new ideas and get inspired in a laid-back atmosphere which invites you to sit down in order to gain an amazing insight of their work.

Due to the fact that his collection is not focused on any specific bodytype and that he doesn’t care about genders only about the people i was also excited to browse through his creations in order to find my personal favorites – it’s all about finding the perfect piece which simply fits to your own preferences and personal style which is not only a statement you will hear in the fashion world but also relatable to the products of Gillette Venus which were also developed to the different needs for women for 30 years.

As both in fashion and in beauty routines every woman (and man) has her (his) individual preferences and needs, i decided to show you two of my favorite looks by Mark Baigent as well as my favorite Gillette Venus products today. You will find the looks and products on the pictures below, which have been shot at Schneiderhof. A few words on my favorite Venus products: For an extra portion moisture and to avoid dry skin, i use the Venus & Olaz razor with its lovely vanilla scent. When i feel more sensitive, i go for the Venus Embrace Sensitive razor and the dye- and fragrance-free Satin Care Pure & Delicate shave gel, which further helps to minimize the risk of skin irritation. For instant smoothness on-the-go i love the new Venus Embrace Snap with its cute mini handle.

To give you the opportunity to find your perfect match, either in Mark’s collection or in the Gillette Venus portfolio, i am hosting a giveaway today:  you have the chance to win a package full of Gillette Venus products but you also have the chance to win 1x2 tickets for the fashion show of Mark Baigent and Ylva presented by Gillette Venus on September 9th. Just tell me which one you think could be your favorite Gillette Venus razor and don’t forget to add your email-address! The winners will be announced on the 2nd of September! Good Luck!

Tribute to the 70s | Flared Pants

Flared Pants have been on my wishlist for quite a while but i never thought i would enjoy this trend that much because since i got them i found myself wearing them over and over again – a new obsession was born. You instantly feel like a 70s babe and i promise that the newer version of the throwback trend is definitely more elegant which you can rock from day to night. Since i’m not a huge fan of denim i opted for a different fabric which allows me to wear this amazing piece of clothing also during the summer time. So what are your thoughts on flared pants – let me know!

Bordeaux Look N°3 | Café Bellini

It’s been way to long since i came up with an #allblackoutfit but in all honesty i’m pretty happy about the fact that i’ve finally managed to  reach out for more colorful options instead of choosing another black look.

I defintiely made it to my mission to change up my wardrobe and get a little bit more innovative when it comes to my outfits but back in June when i was in Bordeaux i opted for this parisienne inspired ensemble which was the ultimate option for dinner at the Café Bellini.

Sunset Reflections | #FossilVienna Summer Party

If you’ve been tuning in here for a while you’ll probably noticed that I’ve been kind of obsessed with orange and all those coppery shades which instantly screams for the next Golden Hour Shoot (did that yesterday – so stay tuned). Another obsession of mine are clearly two pieces –  they are so much more versatile than anything else and i guess for me it’s the ultimate way to get a little bit more organized when it comes to packing because you’ll get so much use out of it. However i decided to rock this ensemble at the #FossilVienna Summer Party which took place on the rooftop of the House of the Sea here in Vienna last Week – oh boy what a View. Luckily we were just in time to get the perfect lighting and while we (talking about all the lovely bloggers who showed up that evening) were chatting and laughing my partner in crime Patrick Domingo and i decided to shoot another fashion film. As you can see we captured another magical moment of the Golden Hour which is probably my favorite time to shoot during the summer time. Hope you like it!
