SKIN TALK | Flawless Spring Skin

When it comes to skin care i think it’s always pretty difficult to recommend products since not everything is working for everybody. As a daughter of an expert in the field of beauty i was aware of the importance of skin care from a very young age.

Over the last few years i noticed that a lot of girls struggeling with their skin and despairing when nothing is working. One of the main advice i always suggest and preach for many many years is getting a professional facial beauty analysis – and i’m not talking about going to a store and have a chat with a sale associate. It’s super important to identify your skin conditions or concers by a professional esthetician before you keep buying stuff and experiment with all those hyped products out there that may not be right for you – because every skin is different, everyone has a different lifestyle, diet and so on which simply means everyone needs a individual treatment.

I’m someone who has sensitive combination skin and for more than 8 years i’ve been using Janssen Cosmetics. It’s a brand that i truly believe in and i’ve been hooked ever since i notice the change in my skin texture. The two products that i’ve been consistently using year in and year out are the Radiant Firming Tonic (step 1) and the either the Anti-Polution Cream (step 4) or the Detox Cream also by Janssen. These are by far my favorite products that have worked wonders for me. After i cleansed my skin properly i always use the tonic in order to prepare my skin for the next step. For the last couple of weeks i added two more products that i honestly really enjoyed. The Clinique freshpressed daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C10 %. This little container has a dual chambered design which keeps the Vitamin C fresh until mixed. You can either mix 2 drops of the activated booster into your moisturiser or directly on your face. You can use this product for about 8 to 10 days  Overall my skin looked more even and i noticed a fresher complexion.

Another product which i also added to my daily moisturizing routine is the La Mer Revitalizing Hydrating Serum. It absorbs into the skin without any greasy or sticky after feel. I have been using this beauty for few weeks now and my skin actually really loves it. It seems to be the perfect additon which provides moisture but als creates a more radiant complexion. Last but not least i always use my favorite moisturizing cream i swear by – the Anti Pollution Cream by Janssen. With a multi-active extract from flowers of the red camellia the cream strengthens the skin’s resistance to environmental pollutants. It’s an innovative cream for day and night which 100% help leave skin moisturized.

Diesel Two Piece

Mixing different pieces and creating a super interesting looks is definitely something i love doing every day - but sometimes i prefer dressing in an easy way. So when i was leaving for Salzburg for the weekend i was super happy to rock my new Diesel two piece set which is not super comfy but also fashionable at the same time. In order to brighten up the outfit i went for my favorite in-between-season coat which became such a stable that i can truly recommend. I never thought that get so much use out of it but sometimes the unexpected pieces always turn out to be the best!

Capetown | Pink House

Exactly one week ago i landed in Capetown for  the very first time. I had absolutely no clue what to expect but let me tell you – i had a wonderful time. Those of you who follow me on my instagram have probably seen a few impressions of my trip to South Africa where i was booked for a TV campaign with Teekanne (more about that soon). Of course i couldn’t resist getting one of my looks shot in front of a colored house in Bo-kaap that is one of the oldest and the most fascinating residental areas in the South African city of Capetown.

London w/ Bonprix

A little over three weeks ago i was invited to London to join the bonprix FashionClub Event. It alll started with a warm welcome at an old warehouse which is only available for events. Since we were invited to not only have a look at the upcoming collection we also got the chance to choose our favorite looks which we shot right away. Since the location had so many cool corners to offer i thought i might be a cool idea to shoot at the terrace which was right up my ally and matched perfectly with my outfit. Inspired by the fashion icon Victoria Beckham, i went for this oversized pants and a simple black shirt. Sometimes less is more. Besides the shooting i was super happy that i finally got the chance to share this experience with Bianca from Worryaboutitlater who also shot this amazing pictures!

Spring Make-Up | Gold & Glitter

Spring is without a doubt one of my favorite season right after Fall.  So i thought it's time to show you my favorite look i love to wear during spring and summer because what’s better to switch up your make up routine when a new season is knocking on the door. In order to achieve a nice and fresh make-up look i always start moisturizing my face. At the moment i’m using a Perfect World by Origins which is an age-defense moisturizer with white tea and a SPF 40. It contains several powerful natural ingriedients and essential oils. When it’s all settled in i always tend to use a primer which is a step that became crucial to me in the last couple of years. I’m not loving a particular one but over the last few weeks i start using the Sleek primer which definitley helps minimizing pores.

Next step – foundation. When it comes to spring I like to pick things that feel quite light and fresh on the skin but still gives me a good amount of coverage. I’m currently a big fan of the Bourjois HealthyMix which really smoothes out the skin, doesn’t feel heavy and definitely gives you a lovely glow throughout the day. After applying a little bit of concealer and filling out my eyebrows i’m ready for some eyeshadow. Usually i always stick to my matte tones but for some reason i completely fell in love with glitter. Since i got this brandnew palette called ‚shining hour’ created by Kabuki for MAC (will be on the market very soon), i felt super inspired and stepped out of my comfort zone. For this look i went for the orange glitter eyeshadow which is obviously perfect if you love to add the ultimative shine to your lid. Personally i can’t not get over this product since each eye shadow gives you this amazing effect when you open your eyes.

Moving on to the cheeks. Of course i’m still a big fan of countouring but for Spring and Summer i’m ready for some gold highlights to warm up my face. Currenlty i really admire the Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder called ‚Bronze Glow’ which became such a hot product for me that i can highly recommend. To finalize this look i added a few layers of my favorite mascara byL.O.V to my lashes and put on some nude/peachylipstick(Number 162) by GOSH. So what do you think of this look?!

Oh London!

If there is one color that i rarely wear it’s definitely red. But as i mentioned in a previous post that whenever i’m traveling i often try to avoid choosing pieces that i wear over and over again. For example this red Hugo boss sweater which was perfect for my last trip to London. Combined with this lovley skirt and this amazing scenery i ended up wearing something a little bit more creative and different. Speaking of traveling - i'm currently in Capetown for a really cool project i'm working on together with Julia from OurcleanJourney. Super excited to show you the final outcome! So stay tuned!

Vienna Opera Ball with Swarovski | Le Beau Danube Bleu

When I moved to Vienna 6 years ago i knew that one of the things that i absolutely wanted to cross off my bucketlist was definitely ‚a night at the Opera'. It’s such an unique expereince where you're not only surrounded by old traditions but you also get the chance to dress up in a really spectacular way. So when Swarovski,  ask me if i wanted to join them at the Opera Ball i immediately said yes. Luckily i still had one unworn dress in my closet that was truly pefect for such an event, so i didn't reallly felt stressed out like i guess many other women do. It's simply the question number one – what to wear – but fortunately i only had to figure out what hairstlye i should go for. So when the day finally arrived i was full of excitement.

Along with Kathi from Ketchembunnies, who was my partner in crime fort hat night, and lovely Nina from YouRockMyLife we decided to shoot our looks, which by the way featured also a few pieces of the Swarovski Atelier Collection, at the Albertina.  At this point i would love to thank Nina’s better half Patrick from BecauseofLight for all the lovely pictures he captured before we kicked of the night. After hour little shooting we headed the Hotel Sacher where we were also invited to a super lovely dinner! I have to say that it was truly magical when we first stepped into the dining room. Three hours later the long wait for the main part of the evening was finally over! Right before we got served our last course we couldn’t wait any longer and made ourselves on the way to the red carpet of the Opera.

Right after we entered the phenomal building we enjoyed a wonderful opening where we also spotted all the debutants wearing the shining tiara which was designed by Karl Lagerfeld for Since Swarovski this year. The hours past by and so we tried to get the best out of this night. We checked out the Crystal Bar, spend a few minutes at the Swarovski box (Loge) and also made it to the dancefloor where Patrick took the time to dance with each of us girls. We had such a blast that i’m still super happy about this special night which is somehow a once-in-a-lifetime experience. So big thanks to Swarovski for this amazing opportunity.

A little Piece of Paris | 9th District

I can’t believe that Spring is almost here. It’s such a relief being able to walk around outside, listening to the lovley chirping sound and shooting after 4 pm without putting on 1000 layers in order to keep you warm. That’s why i decided to put together a look which features a few of my favorite pieces and rock this outfit at my favortie locatioin in the 9th district of Vienna. I remember shooting here 6 years ago when i moved from Salzburg to the big city – the 9th district was always super special for me. Compared to the other districts it’s definitely less crowed and busy – but that’s exactly what i love about it. Calm, quite and lovely to walk around. I can highly recommend walking through the Palais Liechtenstein Park and visiting the Servitenviertel where you should definitely have a look at the new Café La Mercerie which is probably the cutest french bistro you can discover in Vienna which obviously always inspries me to channel my inner parisian.
