Black & Gold

When it comes to outfitposts one of the worst enemy during winter is defintely the dark and for some bloggers it can be the most annoying season of the year. I personally have this kind of „love-hate realtionship“ with winter. If it’s too cold and if i don’t even see a little bit of sunshine during the day i also tend to dream about the first warm days of spring and wish that i can throw all my millions of layers aside - i guess that’s also a reason why so many people i follow on instagram post those kind of „i miss summer“ pictures where everyone is wearing bright colors. I totally get that but black will be always my favorite color. I havn’t worn a „black on black“ outfit for a while so i thought i was about time wearing on of my favorite looks again. I paired it up with a few gold accessories like this belt which is the perfect way to accentuate my waist. Of course i choose to wear my black booties again – they are really the best investment i have made in the last couple of months.

Blast from the Past

I’ve mentioned it in my previous post before that i’m trying to add more patterned pieces into my daily looks. Instead of buying new clothes over and over again, i tried to pay more attention to the stuff i haven't worn in a while. So i ended up grabbing this nordic print cardigan which i bought 3 or 4 years ago. It used to be one of my favorite pieces but after a while i got tired of looking at it – actually that happened to a lot of pieces of my closet as well. That’s why i often go through my whole wardrobe, pull out some old sweaters, blouses or pants and pair old with new.

Live it up!

After seeing lots of head to toe prints on many streetstyle blogs i wanted to incorporate more colorful patterned tops into my wardrobe. I was quite successful in the past few months and found some beautiful pieces at different stores. This 60s inspired blouse for example became definitely one of my favorites. For sure, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but maybe some of you feel the same way about prints & patterns as i do.

Högl - Collaboration

There are times where i love to get inspired by different kind of fashion trends from the past. I was always a huge fan of the Twenties but after seeing „Factory Girl“ for the third time and pinning some inspiration pictures of Edie Sedgwick & Co on one of my Pinterest boards, i became slighty obsessed with the Sixties – i even made my own Twiggy–inspired earrings!

However, a few days ago i was asked if i want to collaborate with the austrian shoe brand Högl which is well known for their good quality. I went to one of their stores here in Vienna in the first district am Graben and snapped some pictures of their current collection – and guess what?! The swinging sixties are back – which means knee high Go-Go Boots, College-Pumps, Mary-Janes or Knitten Heels. It’s all about cool colors, such as dark petrol, berry hues and of course black.

I also have been given the chance to take some outfit-pictures with some of their shoes but first of all i would like to give you an overview of their range of footwear. Can’t wait to shoot some sixties-inspired-outfits.
What's your favorite decade of fashion?
(my favorite boots)

A few weeks ago Högl also announced its latest designer collaboration with the fashion designer Guido Maria Kretschmer. The whole collection "Guido Maria Kretschmer for Högl" will be launched during Berlin Fashion Week on the 17th of January 2013 (pictures bellow!!). Here are some snapshots of the fitting. All Aboard!

So let’s start my 25th birthday with some pop of color - no i don't mean a huge rainbow birthday cake i'm only talking about my wonderful striped colorful jumper you've never seen on the blog. I only paid 5 euro for it - how amazing is that.  Another thing i have been loving is definitely my drivers cap which has been rising in presence in the last couple of months. I saw this kind of hat on so many streetstyle & fashionblogs and always thought about getting one for myself ...instead of wearing my beanies non-stop. This one in particular is from Mango which is definitely more than just a practical thing.

Turned back to natural

So i thought i would start this post with a little apology but honestly i really enjoyed the past three weeks without blogging. It’s not that i don’t like it sometimes but i only want to produce posts that i love. Anyway, i’m back, and that’s all that matters. A few weeks ago i became very bored of my current hairstyle or rather say my haircolor. I’ve been a huge fan of blond hair and i’ve been dying my naturally dark blonde hair ever since i can remember but after months without getting new highlights i really enjoyed the color of my roots. At that point i knew that i wanted something different.

My boyfriend always encouraged me to go natural but it took me a while to get my head around not being a blonde anymore! So 3 weeks ago i went to my hairdresser and we discussed for a while what i wanted. I showed her a couple of pictures and she knew exactly how to create it. I’m super happy with how it turned out. If you’re following me on instagram you might have already seen some pictures but since i’m not a big fan of posting my instagram pictures on my blog i was finally able to shoot my first outfit of this year with my new hair color and my new boots from zara. I was looking for them almost a month but unfortunately the price was a little too high for me. I don't know about your shopping behavior but i tend to wait for sales and always tell myself "wait for it - if it's meant to be yours, it will happen" and actually my success quote is around 80 %.
